Spring Flowers in Watercolour – A Celebration of Seasonal Renewal
After months of muted winter tones, spring arrives with an explosion of colour. My new Spring Flowers Collection captures this awakening through 16 original watercolours – each one celebrating the therapeutic power of nature's renewal.
Why Paint Flowers?
For me, painting flowers isn't just about capturing their beauty – it's about finding stillness in their presence. Living with ADHD means my world is often loud and scattered. But when I sit with a flower, really observe it, everything slows down.
The way light catches a poppy petal. The architectural structure of an allium. The quiet strength of daisies in a meadow. These moments become therapeutic sanctuaries, translated into watercolour.
Featured Artworks from the Collection
Bold & Vibrant Pieces
- Wildflower Dreamscape (£175) – An abstract rainbow sunset landscape where wildflowers merge with light. This is my most vibrant piece, featuring every colour of spring in one harmonious composition.
- Poppy Field Joy (£165) – Bold red poppies dancing in the breeze. There's something deeply joyful about poppies – they refuse to be subtle, demanding attention with their scarlet petals.
- Purple Allium Sunrise (£175) – Purple-gold allium flowers catching the first light of dawn. Alliums have this incredible geometric beauty – nature's perfect spheres.
- Chinese Lantern Blooms (£175) – Orange physalis pods against a turquoise backdrop. The contrast here represents how nature combines unexpected colours with absolute confidence.
Calm & Meditative Pieces
- Daisy Field Serenity (£165) – White daisies on a teal-green meadow. This one has a quiet presence – perfect for spaces that need gentle energy.
- Teal Meadow Dream (£165) – Turquoise wildflowers at sunrise. The colour palette here is deliberately soothing – cooler tones that invite contemplation.
- Garden Symphony (£165) – A floral bouquet celebrating diversity. Multiple flower types coexisting harmoniously – a metaphor I find therapeutic.
- Meadow Celebration (£175) – A wildflower meadow in full bloom. This captures that moment when spring reaches its peak and everything feels alive.
Abstract & Atmospheric Pieces
- Moonlit Grove (£165) – Mystical dark trees with yellow-green moss. Not strictly flowers, but captures that magical twilight moment when nature reveals its mysteries.
- Sunset Through Trees (£165) – Pink-coral abstract landscape. The way evening light filters through branches, creating its own kind of floral colour palette.
The Watercolour Technique Behind the Florals
Every piece in this collection is painted on 300gsm cotton watercolour paper – a surface that allows water and pigment to dance together. I use a wet-on-wet technique for backgrounds, letting colours blend naturally. Then I add details with drier brushwork once the base layer is set.
This combination creates both softness and definition. The flowers emerge from atmospheric backgrounds, just as they do in nature – part of a larger landscape, yet distinct and present.
Perfect for Spring Gifting
Spring is gift-giving season – Mother's Day, Easter, birthdays, or simply celebrating the longer days. These flower paintings work beautifully as:

- Mounted Prints (A4 £19.99, A3 £29.99) – ready to frame and hang
- Original Artworks (£165-£175) – one-of-a-kind pieces, each signed by me
