I'm Simon Robin Stephens — a watercolour artist living and working in Carshalton, in the London Borough of Sutton. I paint landscapes of Surrey and South London: the River Wandle, Nonsuch Park, Carshalton Ponds, Leith Hill, Box Hill, and the quiet green spaces that surround us.
I paint for people who need calm. I have ADHD, and painting is how I create order from the noise. That means my work is designed from the inside out to be visually restful — single focal points, soft palettes, unhurried marks. My paintings are used in therapy rooms, counselling practices, yoga studios, and calm homes across Sutton, Croydon, Epsom, Kingston and across the UK.

My watercolour Hope In Bloom was chosen by The Salvation Army UK to appear on their 2026 Easter donation thank-you card. 600,000 cards featuring the painting were distributed nationwide — a genuine honour for a local Sutton artist.
