There are moments where life feels loud. Too fast. Too full. Too much.
And then there are places where everything softens.
This May, I’ll be part of something like that.
🌿 A Local Art Exhibition in Wallington
From 7–9 May 2026, I’ll be exhibiting my work as part of the Carshalton & Wallington Art Group Spring Exhibition, held at the United Reformed Church in Wallington, South London.
It’s a free local art exhibition, open to everyone — whether you’re someone who regularly visits galleries, or someone who just happens to wander in.
Inside, you’ll find a room full of work created by local artists from Sutton, Carshalton, and across Surrey. Different styles. Different mediums. Different ways of seeing the world.
But all connected by something simple
The need to make something real.
🎨 What You’ll Find There
There will be over 80 original artworks on display, including
Watercolour paintings
Acrylic and mixed media pieces
Prints and smaller works
Handmade pieces and creative experiments
Some work will be bold. Some will be quiet. Some might stay with you longer than you expect.
🧠 Why This Matters (Especially If You Feel “Too Much”)
For me, painting has always been a way to make sense of things that don’t quite fit into words.
A way to slow down. To process. To breathe.
Many of the pieces I’ll be showing come from that place —
those in-between moments where the world feels overwhelming, but also strangely beautiful.
If you’ve ever felt overstimulated, scattered, or like your mind moves faster than everything around you…
This kind of space matters.
🏡 A Different Kind of Experience
This isn’t a formal gallery. There’s no pressure to understand anything.
You can
Walk in quietly
Take your time
Stand in front of a painting for as long (or as little) as you like
You might meet the artist. You might just observe.
Both are completely fine.

💛 If You’re Nearby…
If you’re in Sutton, Carshalton, Wallington, or anywhere in South London, this is one of those small, local things that’s easy to miss — but worth finding.
You don’t need to know anything about art. You just need a bit of time.
And maybe a willingness to look a little closer.
🌊 A Final Thought
Sometimes the most important spaces aren’t the biggest ones.
They’re the ones that let you pause. Even just for a moment.
If that sounds like something you need,
I’d love to see you there.
